Product Description

The Asgard “Access E-Plus” is versatile, large capacity all-metal bike shed measuring 7.7 x 3.4 feet (2306mm x 1043mm) which has been specifically designed to store up to three fat tyre electric mountain bikes and associated cycling equipment, keeping them safe, secure and dry. It is also supplied with a mounting plate and pre-drilled cable holes to allow the installation of sockets for charging your electric bikes while they remain locked and secure. The unit is constructed from thick, heavy duty, galvanised steel panels coated in polyester powder-coated paint, which is highly durable and fully weatherproof and rust resistant. It features an integral metal floor which can be securely bolted into the ground using supplied fixings, reinforced double doors, two pick and drill resistant 3-point shrouded locking points, and an internal steel deadbolt locking bar, making it a strong, secure and virtually maintenance free bike storage solution, ideal for protecting your most valuable fat tyre electric and other large-wheel bikes and reducing the chance of opportunistic theft. The Access E-Plus has been endorsed and featured by cycling and mountain bike magazines and news websites including Cycling Electric, Off-Road.cc, Road CC and Bike Radar.

Easy access features

The Access E-Plus features an easy-to-use gas-assisted lift-up lid together with large, heavy duty double front doors, which are designed to provide easy physical access to your electric bikes and cycling equipment, and to manoeuvre your bikes straight items in and out. The unit also comes with pre-drilled holes ready to accept optional Asgard accessories including shelves, shed hooks and eyelets to maximise the efficiency of the internal storage space. The Access E-Plus is fitted with a ventilation system, designed to keep air flowing inside to reduce moisture and condensation, ensuring your bikes are kept dry and protected from damp and condensation damage, and in optimal condition. The unit is also provided with a mounting plate to enable electric sockets to be fitted for battery charging. At the bottom of the side panels there are access holes allowing you to feed a cable through from outside into your shed socket to charge your electric bikes when the unit is securely locked. Rubber grommets are supplied to seal the holes if they are not being used. There are no exposed edges inside the unit, and all exposed screw heads are hidden from view.

Options and upgrades

The Access E-Plus is available in a choice of three colours: green, ivory or grey. Optional upgrades and accessory packs are available for The Access E-Plus including easy-fit shelves (The Access range can fit a maximum of 4 shelves per unit), universal hooks and eyelets which help to free up floor space to maximise your bike storage. The panels are pre-drilled with holes ready to attach the accessories. Up to two shelves can be fitted inside (sold separately) without compromising the storage space for bikes. Please note: Internal components pictured are optional extras and not included in the basic price. The electrical sockets and wiring are not included.

Recommended Base & Installation

A firm, level surface is required before installation can take place (e.g. concrete, tarmac or a patio 50mm/2” thick). The base must be solid and completely flat. The recommended surface for The Access E-Plus is a solid concrete base measuring 2450mm (8’) in width x 1150mm (3’9”) in depth x 50mm in height. The Access E-Plus metal bike shed comes with an installation pack with illustrated step-by-step instructions for easy self-assembly. A full assembly service is also available as an optional extra however fitting of the electric sockets is not included as part of the installation option. Some customer drilling may be required to fit the sockets. Please note: It is recommended installation of the electrical sockets and wiring is carried out by a qualified electrician.
