Product Description

The Asgard 7’4” x 8’11” Gladiator Motorcycle Storage Garage is a large, heavyweight, high-security, solid steel motorcycle storage unit, specifically designed for storing your high value motorcycles and riding accessories. The unit has achieved Police Preferred Specification status from Secured by Design (SBD), the official UK police security initiative, and has been tested and certified by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) and the UK Locksmiths Association for its high security features and its strength and resistance to break-in attacks. The motorbike insurance broker Bennetts classifies a motorcycle stored in an Asgard accredited metal motorcycle garage as being “garaged” which can enable you to qualify for a discounted insurance package for your motorcycle (subject to your personal circumstances and certain terms and conditions). The Gladiator Motorcycle Storage Garage is part of Asgard Gladiator modular range, which provides you with the flexibility to add extension panels to enlarge the unit’s storage capacity if required.

Exceptionally strong and secure motorcycle garage

The Gladiator Motorcycle Garage is constructed from extra thick and strong fully galvanised steel panels coated in polyester powder-coated paint, which is highly durable and fully weatherproof and rust-resistant. It features an integral metal base with fixings to securely bolt the unit to the ground, and a range of other security features including a high security pick and drill resistant shrouded lock and heavy-duty reinforced doors, hinges and panels designed to prevent forced entry from thieves. The Gladiator Motorcycle Garage is a highly robust and strong garage-like structure, which is the perfect size and design for storing your prized two-wheel possessions in perfect condition, but at a fraction of the cost of a traditional garage.

Quality design features

The Gladiator Motorcycle Garage is a truly heavyweight bike storage unit weighing in at an impressive 378kg (59.5 stones), and features large, easy access double doors and an easy access ramp for wheeling your motorcycles straight inside. The unit has centralised double front doors for easy access and can comfortably accommodate two motorcycles (based on the Kawasaki Ninja), along with shelving and hooks for storing all your riding accessories including helmets and heavy leathers. The unit also comes with two heavy duty shelves and a heavy-duty hook rail as well as wooden flooring to protect your bike’s tyres. Additional shelves and hooks can be purchased along with other accessories such as magnetic LED sensor lights from My Secure Garden. The motorcycle garage features Asgard’s unique shed ventilation system, consisting of discrete holes in the roof and within vented side panels that maintain airflow inside the shed and minimise condensation without compromising on security. It also comes with a cable access within the fascia, enabling you to easily add a security camera or lights to the front of the shed. The unit is supplied with four electric mounting plates and pre-drilled cable holes – two on each of the side extension panels - to enable power sockets to be installed. Please note: Electrical sockets and wiring are not included with the unit. It is recommended installation of the electrical sockets and wiring is carried out by a qualified electrician.

Options and upgrades

The Gladiator Motorcycle Storage Garage is available in a choice of three colours: green, ivory or grey. Optional upgrades and accessory packs are available for the unit including a metal bike hanger for storing a bicycle, universal hooks and eyelets, and additional shelving (supplied in packs of 2) to maximise storage. The panels are pre-drilled with holes ready to attach the accessories. Please note: Internal components pictured are optional extras and not included in the basic price.

Recommended Base & Installation

A firm, level surface is required before installation can take place (e.g. concrete, tarmac or a patio 50mm/2” thick). The base must be solid and completely flat. The recommended surface for the Gladiator Motorcycle Storage Garage is a solid concrete base measuring 2410mm (7’10”) in width x 3100mm (10’2”) in depth x 50mm in height. The unit comes in panels for easy DIY installation, with an installation pack with illustrated step-by-step instructions to guide the self-assembly. A full assembly service is also available as an optional extra however fitting of the electric sockets is not included as part of the installation option. Some customer drilling may be required to fit the sockets.

Secured by Design (SBD) is the official police security initiative that works to improve the security of buildings and their surroundings.

SBD’s product based accreditation scheme – the Police Preferred Specification - provides a recognised standard for all security products that can deter and reduce crime.

What is the LPCB?

Established more than 150 years ago, the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) is a globally recognised third-party certification body.

Part of BRE, the LPCB has worked with industry and insurers since 1868 to set the standards needed to make sure that fire and security products and services perform effectively.

The LPCB’s Loss Prevention Standards (LPS) are widely recognised and applied in fire and security sectors around the world. The LPCB has produced a specific standard for standalone padlocks (LPS 1645) based on a testing regime which focusses on their level of manual attack resistance.

The LPCB also offers third-party certification to confirm that products and services have met, and will continue to meet, these standards.
