Product Description

The Asgard “Annexe” is a high security metal shed measuring 6 x 3 feet (1832mm x 924mm) which provides a tough, secure and convenient storage solution for your valuable garden tools and equipment, and a wide range of other outdoor items such as garden chairs, BBQs and lawn mowers. The Annexe secure metal storage shed has achieved Police Preferred Specification status from Secured by Design (SBD), the official UK police security initiative, and has been tested and accredited by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) and the UK Locksmiths Association for its high security features and its strength and resistance to break-in attacks.

Robust construction and high security

The Annexe is constructed from thick, rust resistant heavy gauge galvanised steel panels coated in polyester powder-coated paint, which is highly durable and fully weatherproof and rust resistant. It contains several high security features including a full integral metal floor which can be securely bolted into the ground using supplied fixings, a tough, EN1303 rated pick and drill resistant 5-point locking system with metal shroud, and reinforced hinges, doors and door surround which are designed to resist crossbar attacks. This heavy-duty storage unit weights 138kg (21.7 stones), and its metal doors are fitted with 10mm steel bolts to further increase protection from garden theft. The Annexe can also be used as a high security all-weather bike store, providing level storage for 3 bikes and a secure and convenient place to store all your cycling equipment and maintenance items.

Quality design features

The Annexe metal shed features large, heavy duty reinforced double doors, providing easy access for manoeuvring larger garden items and bikes in and out, and comes with pre-drilled holes ready to accept optional Asgard accessories including shelves, shed hooks and eyelets to maximise the efficiency of the internal storage space. The Annexe also features a concealed roof ventilation system, designed to keep air flowing inside to reduce moisture and condensation within the unit, ensuring your garden tools, bikes and other equipment are kept dry and protected from damp and condensation, and in optimal condition. There are no exposed edges inside the unit, and all exposed screw heads are hidden from view.

Options and upgrades

The Annexe is available in a choice of three colours: green, ivory or grey. Optional upgrades and accessory packs are available for The Annexe unit including half and full width shelves, universal hooks and eyelets to maximise your garden storage. The panels are pre-drilled with holes ready to attach the accessories. Please note: Internal components pictured are optional extras and not included in the basic price. The Annexe metal shed comes with an installation pack with illustrated step-by-step instructions for easy self-assembly. A full assembly service is also available as an optional extra.

Recommended Base

A firm, level surface is required before installation can take place (e.g. concrete, tarmac or a patio 50mm/2” thick). The base must be solid and completely flat. The recommended surface for The Annexe is a solid concrete base measuring 1990mm (6’6”) in width x 1100mm (3’7”) in depth x 50mm in height. Optional Extras: Shelf Pack (Full Width) – Annexe; Shelf Pack (Half Width) - Annexe; Protective Wooden Subfloor - Annexe; and Universal shed hooks (5 pack).

FAQs
What is SBD / Police Preferred Specification?

Secured by Design (SBD) is the official police security initiative that works to improve the security of buildings and their surroundings.

SBD’s product based accreditation scheme – the Police Preferred Specification - provides a recognised standard for all security products that can deter and reduce crime.

My Secure Garden has carefully selected some of the attack resistant crime prevention products which have achieved Police Preferred Specification.

SBD is the only way for companies to obtain police recognition for security-related products in the UK.

What is the LPCB?

Established more than 150 years ago, the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) is a globally recognised third-party certification body.

Part of BRE, the LPCB has worked with industry and insurers since 1868 to set the standards needed to make sure that fire and security products and services perform effectively.

The LPCB’s Loss Prevention Standards (LPS) are widely recognised and applied in fire and security sectors around the world. The LPCB has produced a specific standard for standalone padlocks (LPS 1645) based on a testing regime which focusses on their level of manual attack resistance.

The LPCB also offers third-party certification to confirm that products and services have met, and will continue to meet, these standards.
