Product Description

The Asgard “Gladiator Plus 2” is a supremely strong, premium quality, extra-large all-metal garden shed providing secure garden storage for your largest and most valuable garden equipment and outdoor possessions including ride-on mowers, quad bikes, mobility scooters, garden tools and machinery, garden furniture, large high-end BBQs, play equipment and more. The Gladiator P2 has achieved Police Preferred Specification status from Secured by Design (SBD), the official UK police security initiative, and has been tested and certified by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) and the UK Locksmiths Association for its high security features and its strength and resistance to break-in attacks. The Gladiator range is modular in construction, allowing extension panels to be added to enlarge the storage capacity if required. The Gladiator range also features specialist-designed high-security, all-weather cycle and motorcycle metal storage units which are also available from My Secure Garden.

XL capacity, exceptionally strong and secure

The Gladiator P2 is constructed from extra thick and strong fully galvanised steel panels coated in polyester powder-coated paint, which is highly durable and fully weatherproof and rust-resistant. It features a built-in metal floor with fixings to securely bolt the unit into concrete or similar solid surface and double door access making the unit suitable for your largest and most expensive garden equipment. The Gladiator P2 metal shed features a range of other security features including a high security pick and drill resistant 5 point euro cylinder locking system with internal deadbolts, heavy-duty reinforced doors, welded hinges and heavy-duty construction panels designed to prevent forced entry form thieves. The Gladiator P2 is a commercial quality, high security metal garden storage unit, designed to provide the best possible garden security and protection for your largest and most valuable possessions.

Quality design features

The Gladiator P2 is a truly heavyweight garden storage unit weighing 539kg (85 stones), making it one of the largest “off the shelf” metal garden sheds, and features large, easy access double doors wide enough to walk or ride in your ride-on mower, quad bike or mobility scooter. The Gladiator P2 comes pre-drilled ready to accept heavy-duty metal shelves, hooks and eyelets, (sold separately) which are ideal for storing heavy tools and equipment out of reach of children. The unit can accommodate up to 4 shelves on each side panel. The Gladiator P2 features Asgard’s unique shed ventilation system, consisting of discrete holes that maintain airflow inside the shed and minimise condensation without compromising on security. It also comes with electric mounting plates on either side of the doors and pre-drilled cable holes underneath to enable electric sockets to be fitted for electric charging, and cable access within the fascia, enabling you to easily add a security camera or lights to the front of the shed.

Options and upgrades

The Gladiator P2 is available in a choice of three colours: green, ivory or grey. Optional upgrades and accessory packs are available for The Gladiator P2 including a universal shed ramp, heavy-duty ladder rack, universal hooks and eyelets, and shelving (supplied in packs of 2) to maximise storage. The panels are pre-drilled with holes ready to attach the accessories. Please note: Internal components pictured are optional extras and not included in the basic price. Electrical sockets and wiring are not included with the unit. It is recommended installation of the electrical sockets and wiring is carried out by a qualified electrician.

Recommended Base & Installation

A firm, level surface is required before installation can take place (e.g. concrete, tarmac or a patio 50mm/2” thick). The base must be solid and completely flat. The recommended surface for The Gladiator P2 is a solid concrete base measuring 2410mm (7’10”) in width x 4940mm (16’2”) in depth x 50mm in height. The Gladiator P2 comes with an installation pack with illustrated step-by-step instructions for self-assembly. A full assembly service is also available as an optional extra however fitting of the electric sockets is not included as part of the installation option. Some customer drilling may be required to fit the sockets.

Secured by Design (SBD) is the official police security initiative that works to improve the security of buildings and their surroundings.

SBD’s product based accreditation scheme – the Police Preferred Specification - provides a recognised standard for all security products that can deter and reduce crime.

What is the LPCB?

Established more than 150 years ago, the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) is a globally recognised third-party certification body.

Part of BRE, the LPCB has worked with industry and insurers since 1868 to set the standards needed to make sure that fire and security products and services perform effectively.

The LPCB’s Loss Prevention Standards (LPS) are widely recognised and applied in fire and security sectors around the world. The LPCB has produced a specific standard for standalone padlocks (LPS 1645) based on a testing regime which focusses on their level of manual attack resistance.

The LPCB also offers third-party certification to confirm that products and services have met, and will continue to meet, these standards.
