DefendaStrip

DefendaStrip is a flexible, cost-effective and easy to install anti-climb system that when fitted with adequate warning signage provides a visual and physical barrier to help deter intruders from your property and outside space. The product is designed and manufactured in the UK by DefendaStrip Ltd and is a Registered and Patented design. DefendaStrip is accredited by Secured by Design (SBD) and meets the police-preferred specification. It is suitable for a range of surfaces and is easy to fit with multiple fixing options. The product is recyclable at the end of its useful life.

Product Description

DefendStrip ‘Flex’ is the ideal anti-climb product for exposed outdoor curved surfaces around the home such as downpipes. As its name suggests, the ‘Flex’ product is flexible along its length and width and is designed to be secured at specially designed banding points. BAND-IT Ball-Lok Ties are recommended by DefendaStrip as the most suitable fixing method for DefendaStrip ‘Flex’ on downpipes and exposed curved surfaces. This tensioning tool is specifically designed to tension Ball-Lok ties, ensuring uniform tensioning and a clean tail cut off for safe handling.

DefendaStrip Warning Signs

It is recommended that warning signs are displayed clearly when fitting DefendaStrip, in accordance with any relevant regulations. When deployed on a linear run, it is recommended that signage should be placed at regular intervals of around 3m so they are clearly visible. It is generally accepted that any perimeter security measures are best employed at a minimum height of 2m, and due care and attention must be paid to any local, special conditions or obligations, especially when installing the product next to a public highway.
